Bob Syke’s BBQ: Pecan Pie
Ingredients:
1) 4 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter
2) ¾ C Brown Sugar
3) Cream or Whole Milk (use enough to get a smooth texture)
4) 3 Eggs
5) 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
6) 1/8 tsp. Salt
7) 2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
8) ¾ C Dark Cane Sugar Syrup
9) 1 C Pecan Pieces
10) 1 (9 in.) Pie Crust
Directions
Heat oven or pit to 350*
In a large bowl add softened Butter #1 and Brown Sugar #2 and Cream or Milk #3.
Add whisked Eggs #4.
Add and mix-in Cornstarch #5, Salt #6, and Vanilla Extract #7.
Add Cane Sugar Syrup #8 and mix.
Add Pecans #9 and mix.
Add contents from the large bowl into the pie crust.
Bake for approx. 30 min. checking on it at 20-25 min. Make sure the center is firm.
Pull and serve.
